During the month of April, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (KSCRH) for Mine Clearance in Yemen managed to extract 7,162 mines, including 106 anti-personnel mines, 1,402 anti-tank mines, 5,617 unexploded ordnance, and 37 explosive devices.

The total of what has been removed since the start of the project until now is 163,183 mines laid by the terrorist Houthi militia in the lands, schools and homes, and have tried to hide them in different forms, colors and methods, which killed a large number of children, women and the elderly, whether by death, serious injury or amputation.

The project comes as a continuation of the Kingdom’s efforts represented by the King Salman Relief Center, as the project seeks to clear Yemeni lands of landmines and unexploded ordnance, train Yemeni national cadres to clear mines, and establish a mechanism that helps Yemenis possess sustainable expertise in this field.
