On May 24, the city of Riyadh is preparing to host the activities of the fourth edition of the Housing and Real Estate Finance Conference “Euromoney”, under the slogan “Opportunities and Challenges in the Housing Market”, under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and with the participation of a number of experts and thought leaders in the financing sector. Housing from the Kingdom, the Gulf and various countries of the world, as a basic platform for exchanging ideas on how to build sustainable growth in the housing market, as part of the continuous efforts to improve market efficiency, in order to achieve the goals of the housing program, one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs.
The conference attracts about 500 participants from different countries of the world to discuss the conference themes that deal with the most important developments that contribute to the housing sector in the Kingdom being effective and innovative, while providing opportunities to explore topics and issues of interest to housing, such as risk management and innovation, and present them to policy officials, financial regulators and bankers. and state funds, corporations and private capital providers from around the world.
The conference, which comes with the participation and organization of each of (the Housing Program, the Real Estate Development Fund, the General Real Estate Authority, and the Saudi Real Estate Refinance Company), discusses lessons learned from international markets, the importance of financial markets, capital markets, the new regulatory landscape, mega projects, liquidity, and high interest rates, in addition to affirming the objectives of the housing program in accordance with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, while reviewing efforts to enhance the housing market ecosystem and promoting private sector investments; To contribute to raising the percentage of home ownership to 70% by 2030, in line with the importance of housing and housing finance and its role in the development and growth of the Saudi economy.
The conference activities will witness many meetings and interviews between a number of their Excellencies ministers and international experts, including the Secretary General of the European Covered Bonds Council Luca Bertalot, the CEO of Rafal Real Estate Development Elias Abu Samra, the founding partner and CEO of Ejari and Kobus Havemann and the director of Turner & Townsend in Kingdom Yazeed Al Shamsi, with moderator Richard Banks.
