The minister of Sports and Youth Khaled Abdel Aziz witnessed last Tuesday the signing of a contract to sponsor Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman in the civil education center in Giza.
The vice-Chairman of Steel Company Mohamed Gamal El Garhy signed a contract with Osman to sponsor her in swimming competitions. This step comes within the framework of the private sector’s interest in sponsoring Egyptian athletes and aiding the state in developing sports in Egypt.
A number of sports officials witnessed the signing of the contract in the civil education center. Meanwhile, Osman promised to do her best to win a gold medal during the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Osman represented Egypt in a number of swimming competitions, including the Junior African Championship, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2013 World Aquatics Championships, winning a bronze medal in 2017 FINA World Swimming Championships.
