Saudi-Egyptian Industrial Forum Highlights Joint Investment Opportunities

The Saudi-Egyptian Industrial Forum concluded yesterday evening in Riyadh under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. Jointly organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Federation of Egyptian Industries, the forum aimed to advance industrial integration between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Attendees included Deputy Minister for Industry Affairs Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah, CEO of Saudi Exports Development Authority Eng. Abdulrahman Althukair, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hassan Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Eng. Mohamed Zaki El Sewedy, Chairman of the Saudi-Egyptian Business Council Bandar Al-Amri, and Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom Ihab Abou Sereah. Over 300 industrial leaders and investors from both countries participated.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources presented Saudi Arabia’s industrial development and investment opportunities across 12 targeted sectors including machinery, food, aviation, chemicals, medical devices, renewable energy, maritime industries, mining, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and construction materials.

The presentation emphasized the Kingdom’s strategic location, proximity to Egypt, 40+ industrial zones, 5 special economic zones, 10 ports, 29 airports, and abundant natural resources. It also highlighted investor enablers like the Incentive Program, Factories of the Future, and specialized industrial clusters.

On the sidelines, B2B meetings were held to explore partnership opportunities. The forum concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettefaq Steel and Egypt’s El Ezz Group for Steel Industries.
