The Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Mr. Michael Kretschmer (CDU), is visiting Cairo to strengthen cooperation in the field of skilled labor and education.
Mr. Kretschmer will be accompanied by Heike Graßmann, State Secretary at the Ministry of Science, Culture, and Tourism of the Free State of Saxony, as well as a delegation of economists and scientists.
The Prime Minister will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the Saxony-Egypt University of Applied Sciences and Technology (SEU), a private university specializing in practical training, enabling students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
It is worth noting that the SEU offers several programs, including nursing, public health, logistics, mechatronics, and computer security, fields that are highly sought after in the German labor market.
The issue of gaining a skilled workforce will be among the topics to be discussed during the visit of the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Migration, and Reintegration. The visit program includes meetings with high-level Egyptian politicians. During his visit, Prime Minister Kretschmer is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and His Excellency Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs.
