The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced yesterday that the number of pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan 1446 AH reached 122,286,712, representing 16,558,241 pilgrims and 75,573,928 worshippers at the Grand Mosque. The number of worshippers at the Prophet’s Mosque reached 30,154,543.
It is worth noting that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque uses advanced technology, based on sensor readers, to monitor the number of worshippers and pilgrims visiting the Sacred House on the grounds of the main entrances to the Grand Mosque. This step aims to increase operational efficiency by monitoring crowd flows and improving their effective management in partnership with relevant authorities.
