King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) participated in a high-level session held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, as part of the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), with the participation of the Lives and Livelihoods Fund of the Islamic Development Bank Group.
During the session, KSRelief highlighted its global efforts to empower women. Since its establishment, the center has implemented 1,072 projects to support women in 79 countries, worth more than $723 million, contributing to improving the lives of millions of women. These projects include vocational training programs and entrepreneurship support for Yemeni women, healthcare programs such as obstetrics and gynecology in several countries, as well as initiatives to combat gender-based violence through awareness campaigns and survivor support programs.
In total, since its establishment, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has implemented 3,361 relief and humanitarian projects in 106 countries around the world, with a total value exceeding $7 billion. The centre continues to expand its impact, build a sustainable infrastructure that addresses women’s needs, and create opportunities that support women in the most vulnerable communities.
