In continuation of the telephone conversation between the Presidents of Russia and the United States on February 12, the Ministers agreed to maintain a communication channel to resolve the accumulated problems in Russian-American relations in order to remove the unilateral barriers created by the previous US administration to mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation.

It was agreed to organize an expert meeting in the very near future to mutually agree on steps to eliminate obstacles to the work of Russian and American foreign missions.
Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio confirmed their readiness to work together to restore the mutually respectful dialogue between the two countries in accordance with the tone set by the presidents.
They agreed to maintain regular contacts, including preparations for a meeting between the Russian and American presidents.
