On this day, sister Qatar celebrates the luxuries of the Sports Day, not only in the corners of Doha and its surroundings, but also throughout the globe, believing in the theory of “a healthy mind in a healthy body”..
It is worth noting that the Sports Day of the State of Qatar has been held in February since 2012 after the issuance of the text of Amiri Decree No. 80 of 2012 2011, which stipulated that Tuesday of the second week of February of each year shall be a sports day for the State and an official paid holiday.
And that ministries, other government agencies, public bodies and institutions and their affiliated entities, and all entities operating in the State, including the private sector, shall organize sports and movement events on the State Sports Day, in which employees and affiliates shall participate, in a manner that is appropriate to their conditions and ages, to achieve awareness of the importance of sports and its role in the lives of individuals and societies. And that these entities shall provide participants with what is necessary to participate in organized sports events.
