Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Tariq Al-Ansari, called for holding the Sports Day of the sisterly State of Qatar at the covered sports hall of Al-Ahly Club tomorrow, Monday, February 10, 2025, and participating in sports attire..
It is worth noting that the Sports Day of the State of Qatar has been held in February since 2012 AD after the issuance of the text of Amiri Decree No. 80 of 2011 AD, which stipulated that Tuesday of the second week of February of each year be a sports day for the state and an official paid holiday.
And that ministries and other government agencies, public bodies and institutions and their affiliated entities, and all entities operating in the state, including the private sector, organize sports and movement events on the Sports Day of the State, in which workers and affiliates participate, in a manner that suits their conditions and ages, to achieve awareness of the importance of sports and its role in the lives of individuals and societies. These entities shall provide participants with what is necessary to participate in the organised sporting events.
