The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (CTHM), King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – chaired the session held by the Cabinet today in Riyadh.

The Cabinet was briefed on the overall work of the state during the past days, especially those related to areas of cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, and coordination regarding joint efforts aimed at confronting and addressing challenges, and contributing to achieving aspirations for a better future for the region and the world as a whole.

In this context, the Council praised the results of the talks that took place between senior officials in the Kingdom and the high-level delegation from the new administration in Syria, reiterating the Saudi position in support of the security and stability of this country, and emphasizing the continuation of providing humanitarian and relief aid to the brotherly Syrian people.

Following the session, His Excellency the Minister of Media, Mr. Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, explained that the Council followed up on the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the international efforts made to stop the fire in the Gaza Strip, stressing the Kingdom’s rejection and strong condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli occupation authorities against the brotherly Palestinian people and their continued violations of international and humanitarian law.

In local affairs, the Council of Ministers reviewed the progress made in implementing a number of development programs, initiatives and projects aimed at continuing to improve the quality of services provided to citizens, residents and visitors, diversifying the economic base and sources of income, in addition to investing the available potential, energies and wealth.
