Yang Yi, the Chinese Consul General in Alexandria, will participate tomorrow in the Cultural Day at Suez Canal University in Ismailia and deliver a speech on this occasion.
The university celebrates the New Year 2025 and the conclusion of the training course for teaching Arabic language skills to Chinese students coming from Sichuan University of Foreign Studies.
The celebration will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, in the university’s Grand Celebration Hall under the auspices of the President of Suez Canal University, Dr. Nasser Mandour, and the general supervision of Dr. Dina Abu Al-Maati, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Hassan Ragab and Ma Wenbo, Directors of the Confucius Institute.
Major General Pilot Akram Galal, Governor of Ismailia, will participate in the cultural day and deliver a speech in front of the university’s vice presidents and a number of deans and professors with the participation of students from the university’s Chinese language departments.
The ceremony will include singing and performing segments in the Chinese language by students from the Chinese language departments and teachers from the university’s Confucius Institute.
The second part of the celebration program includes a number of activities that express the various components of Chinese culture, including the art of paper cutting, greeting cards, badminton, lantern making, tea tasting, and Chinese cooking. In addition to an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy paintings written by Chinese students who came to learn Arabic language skills at the Confucius Institute at the university.
