On January 4, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Arab Republic of Egypt in Port Said held a wreath-laying ceremony on the graves of Russian sailors who died on this day in 1917 as a result of the explosion of the battleship “Peresvet” on a German mine near the Suez Canal.
The traditional ceremony in memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the homeland during World War I and other periods was attended by the Russian Ambassador Mr. Georgy Borisenko, the staff of the diplomatic mission, officers of the military attaché and their families.
