Embassy of KSA in Egypt celebrates the International Day of the Arabic Language

The Kingdom’s Embassy in Egypt celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language at its headquarters today, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, a number of university presidents, intellectuals, Egyptian media professionals, and members of the embassy.
Ambassador Al-Hussaini delivered a speech on this occasion in which he stressed the great care that the Kingdom has given to the Arabic language since its establishment, which has played an active role in preserving it and enhancing its status, noting that the Kingdom has made efforts to care for the language and its heritage by establishing solid institutional and academic frameworks embodied in a number of centers and bodies concerned with preserving the integrity of the Arabic language, most notably the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language.
For his part, the Acting Cultural Attaché in Egypt, Dr. Mansour bin Zaid Al-Khathlan, spoke about the contributions of the Arabic language globally in various areas of life, highlighting its role in transferring knowledge to the peoples of the world as a whole. He also discussed the Kingdom’s efforts to promote the use of the Arabic language in international forums, its support for translation programs into Arabic to enhance understanding between cultures, in addition to its support in the field of education. The ceremony included the establishment of an Arabic calligraphy corner, and visual presentations highlighting the aesthetics of the Arabic language.
