Mr Mansurbek Kilichev, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Cairo, said , “Tashkent carried out today the evacuation of 100 injured Palestinian children and women and their companions to Uzbekistan, in implementation of the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and in coordination with the Ministries of Health in both countries.”
Mr Kilichev stressed that the evacuated Palestinians will be guests in Uzbekistan until they return to their country.
Mansurbek added that these sick Palestinians will stay in health centers and hospitals, and the Uzbek government will provide them with all the needs of their families, including accommodation in hotels, schools, food, and others during their stay in the country.
He explained that Uzbek President Mirziyoyev stressed, during his speech before the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit dedicated to the Palestinian issue held in November 2024, the importance of ending military operations in the Palestinian territories and ensuring safe humanitarian corridors, and announced Tashkent’s readiness to host injured Palestinian children and women for treatment.
