Russian Ambassador Georgy Borisenko congratulated Russian community in Egypt on the occasion of the New Year 2025, which came as follows:
Dear Russian citizens residing in Egypt and Egyptian friends, the year 2024 has come to an end. This year was full of events, including dramatic ones. Thus, the spark of war flared up again in the Middle East and new calamities fell on the shoulders of the Arabs as a result of the hostile policy pursued by the United States towards the Arabs for a long time, deliberately spreading instability in light of tolerance for Israel in everything. In light of the suffering inflicted on the Palestinian people, Lebanon faced difficult experiences and Syria found itself at a dangerous crossroads. At the same time, the West, led by Washington, which imagines itself controlling the fate of the entire world and seeks to severely punish all who oppose it, continued the war against Russia with the help of the pro-Nazi regime in Kiev.
But now the influence of the Euro-Atlantic countries that dominated the world for 500 years is no longer absolute. The American hegemony through force and coercion, which has lasted for decades, is dissipating against the background of the burning of its tanks delivered to Ukraine, which cannot withstand both the Russian army and our unparalleled missiles capable of reaching enemies everywhere. Europe, in its madness, is destroying its economy with sanctions aimed at us and causing it much greater harm. The moral decline of Western society is disgusting wherever people adhere to traditional spiritual values.
The unrest of the Anglo-Saxons and their followers, who do not want to recognize the loss of their superiority and simultaneously dream of restoring it, will continue for a long time and will bring a lot of misfortune. However, the outlines of the coming world are emerging, according to which all regions are developing and living in prosperity, not only the colonial countries.
The prototype of the multipolar world order is the BRICS group. Russia, which chaired this group in 2024, is very happy to have Egypt join it and has provided strong support for this, whether by increasing its comprehensive cooperation with Egyptian partners, including through both supplying the bulk of Egypt’s imported wheat and building the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
With joint efforts, we will overcome the challenges and move closer to a better future. This may not happen quickly, but historically – right is with us.
