President Bola Tinubu has presented a U.S.$31.22 billion Budget for 2025 that includes priorities such as economic growth, human capital development, poverty reduction, and improved security.
According to allAfruca, the budget is titled the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity,” and it aims to address key issues such as boosting the economy, enhancing trade and oil production, and strengthening security forces. In the budget, significant funds are allocated to the defence, infrastructure, health, and education sectors, with a focus on modernizing the military and police, completing legacy projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, and investing in human capital development.
Tinubu said the budget aligns with the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and lays a foundation for sustainable prosperity and economic stability. The National Assembly will now review and potentially amend the proposal.
