MP and media figure Osama Sharshar, editor-in-chief of Al-Nahar newspaper, was keen to participate in the reception held by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the occasion of Qatar National Day, this evening, Wednesday, on the banks of the Nile in Cairo.
Sharshar congratulated Ambassador Tariq Al-Ansari on the celebration of Qatar National Day, stressing the depth of historical relations between the Egyptian and Qatari peoples, and the important role played by the State of Qatar in cooperation with the Egyptian state to try to achieve stability in the region during this critical period that the Middle East and even the world are going through. Sharshar also praised the wonderful diplomatic role played by Ambassador Tariq Al-Ansari,
the promising and competent ambassador who loves Egypt and its soil, and who believes in the importance of Arab diplomacy in achieving the ambitions and hopes of Arab citizens from the ocean to the Gulf.
In his speech, Ambassador Tariq Al-Ansari praised the relations between Egypt and Qatar under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which have become a model to be emulated in relations between countries, cooperation and coordination in matters of maintaining international peace and security, as well as the economic cooperation between the two countries, which has reached 6,000 joint Qatari-Egyptian companies, in addition to 261 Qatari companies operating in the Egyptian market, and 110 Egyptian companies operating in the Qatari market, stressing his aspiration for more cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
