Today, another piece of history was created with the existence of the National AI Office (NAIO) as proof of our serious determination regarding digital transformation efforts that are capable of driving towards the future of the world based on the digital economy.
The AI Code of Ethics and Governance (AIGE) that was launched emphasizes basic principles such as freedom, transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness in the development and use of AI.
The digital sector is the strength of the world economy, therefore there needs to be an important determination to improve the country’s digital sector on the right track.
As a result, empowerment to raise our ability as a high-income country needs to be driven by the digital sector and because of that, Malaysia is one of the earliest countries to establish a Digital Ministry.
I believe, the existence of AI Office will increase the ability to compete but it needs to go hand in hand with the cultivation of courtesy, identity, ethics, humanity, understanding of religion, culture and respect so that governance is more transparent, fair in embracing the entire implementation of this AI.
