In fact, the celebration of Oman National Day is not just only an official holiday in the Sultanate of Oman and the main holiday in the country since the birth of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, who assumed power from 1970 until his death in 2020, but is a day I look forward to every year in November because the Sultanate of Oman is the mother of the “AldiploMasy” website in its Arabic and English versions, which I have the honor of being its editor-in-chief for nearly twelve years.
It is not necessary to be physically present, but the spirit was present for the remarkable 54th celebrations, not only in Egypt, but in the land of Al-Ghubaira and all over the world.. The celebration of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman on the 54th National Day to the sound of the great Nile breeze in Egypt, comes in honor of the legacy of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who contributed to unifying Oman and pushing it towards the path of development and progress. In addition to the celebration activities, which will witness wide popular participation, these activities include receptions for citizens in various states, dazzling fireworks displays, in addition to the opening of a number of development projects in the governorates, within the framework of enhancing development and achieving a better life for the country and its citizens.
According to the media portal of the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry of Tourism seeks through these activities to enhance popular singing arts, within the framework of embodying the concept of cultural tourism as part of the integrated tourism system in the Sultanate, which is one of the most prominent rich tourism products that distinguish the country.
The Ministry organizes a group of tourism activities in various states of the Sultanate during the glorious National Day holiday, with the aim of supporting domestic tourism and providing an outlet for visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate.
This year’s activities vary between popular and marine arts, and tourism gatherings that express the celebration of the National Day, and contribute to creating an enjoyable entertainment atmosphere for visitors.
The Sultanate of Oman prepares annually to hold innovative activities that highlight the country’s ancient heritage and combine authenticity and modernity, as these diverse activities include all regions of the Sultanate.
Different segments of society participate in the national marches, where participants carry Omani flags and wear traditional costumes, which enhances solidarity and understanding between citizens and residents and supports the spirit of national unity.
The celebrations include a military parade organized by the Omani Armed Forces, where military skills are displayed through air and land shows, highlighting the strength and efficiency of the Omani army and celebrating its achievements in preserving the security of the Sultanate.
Camel and horse races are an integral part of the Omani heritage, as traditional competitions are organized during Eid that attract visitors and reflect the authenticity and cultural heritage of the country, becoming a popular event for everyone.
Fireworks displays add a festive touch to the skies of Oman, where family and friends gather to enjoy these wonderful displays that highlight the spirit of Eid and make the atmosphere more joyful.
The celebrations include holding extensive cultural exhibitions interspersed with art workshops and poetry evenings, showcasing aspects of Omani culture and traditional music, which contributes to enhancing the spirit of cultural belonging and communication between generations.
