Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, met with Ms. Anneliese Dodds, Minister of State for Development at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, on Monday, December 2, on the sidelines of the Cairo Ministerial Conference to Strengthen the Humanitarian Response in Gaza.
Minister Abdel Aati stressed the aspiration to develop bilateral relations between Egypt and the United Kingdom at various levels and to hold the second session of the Egyptian-British Partnership Council, stressing the importance of working to enhance bilateral economic and investment cooperation, taking into account the promising investment opportunities in Egypt, and giving impetus to trade and investment relations between the two countries to achieve mutual benefit.
Minister Abdel Aati discussed the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the importance of pressuring Israel to obtain full and unconditional access to humanitarian aid without obstacles, in addition to the importance and continuation of efforts aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire.
