UN Media Center organizes a seminar on the challenges facing its institutions in the Middle East, esp. Palestine & Lebanon

Under the supervision of Ms. Nihal Al-Qadi, the United Nations Information Center, in cooperation with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (UNOCHA), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), organized a press conference on the tensions in the Middle East, especially Palestine and Lebanon.

Mr. Ahmed Kamal, the National Project Coordinator of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the European Union Support Project for Trade, Industry, Growth and Rapid Market Access, addressed the role of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Ms. Naira Al-Leithy also shed light on the humanitarian situation in the Middle East and North Africa region, the main drivers of the humanitarian situation in the region, humanitarian funding – the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs through the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa.. especially the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, including northern Gaza, UNRWA’s response and relief and humanitarian services, including shelter, health care and food aid distribution, access and security challenges, and the situation in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

For his part, UNRWA spokesperson Mr. Adnan Hasna addressed the challenges facing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), especially after the Israeli Knesset voted to freeze UNRWA’s activities without the slightest appreciation for the history of the international agency.
