On the sidelines of the third day of the World Urban Forum, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, and Erion Veliai, Mayor of Tirana, the capital of the Republic of Albania, signed a cooperation protocol between Cairo Governorate and Tirana City.
The protocol includes enhancing trade, economic and cultural cooperation between Cairo and Tirana through the chambers of commerce, implementing many cultural activities in both countries, enhancing academic cooperation through the exchange of students and teachers, and providing training for researchers, academics and doctoral students from universities and research centers in both Cairo and Tirana.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Albanian Ambassador to Cairo and a number of members of the Albanian delegation participating in the World Urban Forum.
