“Land of Saudi Arabia” kicks off at WTM in London

London – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London has kicked off under the name “Land of Saudi Arabia”, led by the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb; The participation includes the “Spirit of Saudi Arabia” pavilion, which is being held and organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority for the fourth consecutive year.

The organization of “Land of Saudi Arabia” comes with the combined efforts of more than 70 partners of the Saudi tourism system; representing destinations, hotels, airlines, travel and tourism companies, and tour operators. The World Travel Market will continue from November 5 to 7, 2024.

This participation in this important international forum comes within the context of the efforts of the Saudi Tourism Authority; In consolidating Saudi Arabia’s position on the global tourism map, highlighting the development and accelerated growth of the tourism sector in the Kingdom, shedding light on successes, achievements and records at all levels and levels, in addition to promoting unique tourist destinations, attracting more segments of tourists, empowering the private tourism sector, and concluding more important strategic partnerships.

The “Spirit of Saudi Arabia” pavilion witnessed the launch of the “Saudi Red Sea” campaign, and the pavilion witnessed a review of the latest projects of the “Red Sea International” company, which is completing 16 global tourist resorts during this year, with a target of reaching 50 tourist resorts by 2030. The pavilion also hosted many interactive experiences provided to visitors that highlight the authentic Saudi hospitality, natural, climatic and cultural diversity, in addition to Saudi fashion, melodies and various flavors.

On this occasion, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb stated: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the fastest growing destination in the world, seeks, through its participation in this important international forum, to consolidate the position and leadership of Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map, and achieve the goals of the tourism sector in harmony with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030, by highlighting the most prominent and important unique destinations, new projects and tremendous investment opportunities offered by the tourism sector, as the Kingdom is the largest investor in the tourism sector worldwide.”

Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority, stated: “Through this important international forum, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its successes, achievements and record numbers in the Saudi tourism sector, the fastest growing and developing. Through this participation, we also seek to enhance the successes of the second phase of the global promotional campaign (This Land is Calling), which targets a number of major markets around the world, in addition to empowering and enhancing the successes of partners, while working to conclude many strategic partnerships with a group of international companies.”
