The activities of the first edition of the Arab Youth Media Creativity Summit (AYMC)will start tomorrow, Sunday, organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, under the slogan “Media that inspires.. Youth that innovates”, under the auspices of the League of Arab States and the Council of Ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The summit, which lasts for two days, is a platform to enhance innovation and cooperation between media institutions and their impact on all other sectors.
The summit will witness the participation of a number of ministers and politicians in addition to a large number of public figures and senior Arab and Egyptian media professionals.
The summit activities include a number of discussion sessions on the most important topics on the Arab media scene, in addition to organizing a number of workshops and training sessions on various modern media topics by the best media professionals and media trainers, with the aim of developing the skills of young media professionals and refining their experiences.
Discussions revolve around artificial intelligence and its challenges in the media field, the extent of the impact of modern technology on writing journalistic content, as well as the challenges of media coverage in Arab countries, in addition to the digital security of media and press institutions, and the mental health of media professionals and journalists.
The summit activities also address the “Mediathon” competition for Arab youth from filmmakers, designers, programmers, and media college students from Arab universities, which covers various topics related to the media fields.
It was announced that the first edition of the summit will be dedicated to the Palestinian cause, in addition to allocating a prize for creative works in the field of “Love and Support for Palestine” within the “Mediathon” competition, in confirmation of the full support provided by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport to the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people and in appreciation of their steadfastness in defending their country.
The first edition of the Arab Youth Media Creativity Summit aims to bring together an elite group of public figures and media professionals to discuss important issues in the media field, reflecting the confidence of the Arab media community in Egypt as one of the media poles and the oldest in the Arab world.
The summit also seeks to provide a platform for communication and exchange of experiences between participants from various Arab countries in order to achieve the political leadership’s directions in affirming Egypt’s role as a primary driver of media development in the Arab world.
The summit also aims to discover the youthful and creative energies of Arab youth, emphasize communication between them at the level of all Arab countries, and enhance awareness of the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence methods in media work, in line with the professional and ethical values of Arab society.
The summit’s activities highlight the latest trends and developments in the media industry and media creativity.
The first edition of the summit also aims to enhance the skills and develop the professional capabilities of participating young media professionals, and emphasize the leadership of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in organizing major events of this size in light of the growing.
