Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development, in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization, organized a ceremony in Cairo to honor the winners of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award for the best charitable performance in the Arab world in its third session 2023-2024, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini.
The Secretary-General of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development, Dr. Issa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, said in his speech during the ceremony: “The Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award has created an opportunity for competition between charitable and humanitarian programs at the level of the Arab world,” adding that it was launched from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In turn, the Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, Dr. Nasser Al-Hattlan Al-Qahtani, explained that the award aims to develop and improve the performance of charitable institutions and associations, in a way that enhances governance.
300 charitable organizations applied for the award, while 188 charitable organizations from across the Arab countries were nominated for the award, at a rate of 51 large organizations, 70 medium organizations, and 67 small organizations, from 17 countries, and 30 winning organizations were selected from them, distributed equally across the three categories (large, medium, and small).
The honoring included 8 Saudi charitable organizations and associations.
