Cairo to host Turkish Airlines World Golf Championship

The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, participated in the Turkish Airlines World Amateur Golf Championship held at Katameya Dunes Golf Club yesterday, October 19, and presented the championship trophy to the winning Egyptian player, Rony Farag.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen, who inspected the golf course where the championship was held, said that he liked the golf course very much, and that the beauty and design of the golf course and the fact that the winner was Egyptian showed that golf has a good future in Egypt.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen explained that the championship, which is being organized with the participation of dozens of competitors from different countries including South Korea, Japan and England, is expected to be held in the future as well.

It is worth noting that the Turkish Airlines World Golf Championship has been held in more than 100 cities in 71 countries since 2013 and is considered the largest amateur golf championship in the world.
