Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, received MP and media figure Osama Sharshar, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nahar newspaper, in his office on Thursday evening.
Sharshar congratulated him on his selection as Minister of Foreign Affairs and the political leadership’s confidence in him, stressing that this did not come out of nowhere but rather as a result of a great diplomatic career.
Sharshar pointed out during the meeting that Egypt has become a destination for all foreign ministers around the world, the latest of whom today was Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, which reflects Egypt’s status and importance in the region and the world.
Sharshar praised the new tradition established by Dr. Badr Abdel Aati of holding periodic meetings with Arab ambassadors in Cairo, noting that this tradition did not exist before and we hope it will continue because Egypt will remain the destination of Arab diplomacy.
During the meeting, Sharshar presented a number of problems facing a number of Egyptians abroad, and Minister Badr Abdel Aati directed officials to quickly solve them.
