The Embassy of India, Cairo is organizing a tourism promotion event in Cairo on Thursday, 17 October 2024.
Ms. Yomna Al-Bahar, Undersecretary, Ministry of Tourism, has confirmed her attendance as the chief guest. The Embassy of India has also extended invitations to officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, over 100 representatives of airlines, travel agencies and social media influencers.
The event aims to increase bilateral tourism exchanges between the two countries. As ancient centers of civilization, India and Egypt have longstanding cultural, economic and diplomatic relations spanning over 4000 years.
The histories of India and Egypt are intertwined in ways that reflect a rich legacy of mutual respect. The event is an invitation to Egypt and its citizens to explore the amazing diversity, warmth and spirituality of India, while paying tribute to the deep historical connections between the two countries – a relationship that continues to inspire others and continues to flourish.
The event also aims to highlight India as a tourist destination that welcomes the world through a rich blend of diverse cuisines, religions, arts and crafts, music, nature and landscapes, tribes, history and adventure sports. India beautifully blends the old and the new, with bustling bazaars coexisting with modern shopping malls, while grand monuments stand alongside luxurious heritage hotels. Whether you are looking for tranquility in the mountains, a beach retreat or an adventure across the golden sands of the Thar Desert, India offers endless options for every type of traveler and this event aims to introduce Egyptians to these opportunities.
