The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to the League of Arab States (LAS), Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar, expressed his sincere congratulations to the Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership, government and people, on the occasion of the celebration of the fifty-first anniversary of the glorious October victories, stressing that the October War represents a victory for all Arabs, as it restored Egypt and the Arab nation their pride and dignity.
Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Matar said: On this blessed day, we remember the great Arab solidarity, and the role of Saudi Arabia in particular, specifically the late King of Saudi Arabia, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who played a major role as he stood by Egypt in that war, and his historic decision to stop supplying oil to the West was a strong blow that paved the way for the great victory. The matter did not stop there, but Saudi Arabia sent Saudi princes and ministers to inspect the Egyptian forces on the battlefront and provide support and assistance to the Egyptian leaders and people, as the Kingdom led a great and powerful political, diplomatic and economic battle to serve the Arab war effort, which ultimately resulted in the glorious October victory. Ambassador Al-Matar stressed his pride in the historical and exemplary relations between the two brotherly countries, which have reached the stage of strategic partnership, reflecting the solidity of the historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and the continuous development and growth witnessed by them, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him and his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and their mutual keenness to push the joint relations to broader horizons, in light of the continuous and diligent efforts of the governments of both countries in various fields, for more partnership, cooperation and growth, under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and his brother, His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt. He expressed his happiness on the occasion of this glorious anniversary, expressing his sincere wishes for sisterly Egypt and its people, and that God would continue to bestow upon them the blessings of security, safety and stability, and further progress and prosperity, hoping that God would bring back this precious occasion to Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nations with all goodness.
