Minister Abdel Aati praised the development of Egyptian-Slovenian relations in light of the distinguished relations between the two countries, as well as in light of the results of the high-level mutual visits, the most recent of which was the visit of the Slovenian Minister to Egypt last May, and the bilateral meeting between the two ministers on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly recently.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments of common interest, most notably the developments related to the situation in Lebanon and the latest developments in Gaza, where the Foreign Minister reviewed Egypt’s vision regarding the recent escalation and its dangerous repercussions on the region, stressing the importance that Egypt attaches to coordination with Slovenia within the framework of its membership in the Security Council, in addition to appreciating the Slovenian position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
