Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God support him – the fourth edition of the International Cybersecurity Forum (ICF) kicks off today, Wednesday, in Riyadh, organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority under the slogan: “Maximizing Joint Action in Cyberspace”, to enhance international cooperation to address pressing issues in cyberspace, with the participation of an elite group of thought leaders, decision-makers, and the most prominent international bodies concerned.
The forum will be attended by an elite group of decision-makers, CEOs from relevant international organizations, in addition to a group of high-level speakers representing various governmental and academic sectors, and the most prominent international companies from more than 120 countries.
The International Cybersecurity Forum will witness the holding of the first global summit on child protection in cyberspace; Organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority and the International Cybersecurity Forum Foundation, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and a number of stakeholders from the private sector, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions around the world. The summit comes in line with the objectives of the Global Initiative of His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – to protect children in cyberspace by raising global awareness among decision-makers about the growing threats facing children in cyberspace. This edition of the forum continues to build on the foundations and objectives established by previous editions, and brings together a number of high-level international officials; During the forum, a series of dialogue sessions will be held, focusing on five main axes: Overcoming cyber disparities, by building trust to enhance the prospects of cyber cooperation at the international level, cyber behavior, and the social structure in cyberspace, in order to enhance integration in cyberspace, making it a contributing factor in driving development, and bridging the social gap between societies, organizations, and countries, and a thriving cyber economy axis, which aims to discuss the contribution of the cyber economy to development, by developing markets in this vital and promising sector, and a new cyber horizons axis, which addresses mechanisms for benefiting from emerging technologies to drive progress and innovation.
The International Cybersecurity Forum is a global platform that brings together decision-makers, government representatives, companies, cybersecurity leaders, academia, and non-governmental organizations, and works in light of the strategic objectives of the International Cybersecurity Forum Foundation towards enhancing cybersecurity at the international level, achieving economic and social development, and harmonizing and supporting relevant international efforts.
