The Tajik Ambassador to Cairo, Parviz Mirzazoda, stressed that Egypt occupies an important position in Tajik foreign policy, as it is one of the pivotal countries in the Middle East and the African continent, adding that during the 33 years since Tajikistan’s independence, friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries have expanded, and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon paid an official visit to Egypt in March 2022.
The ambassador said at the Independence Day celebration, in the presence of Ambassador Ahmed Shahin, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asian Affairs, that the two peoples have many common values such as ancient history and culture, and Tajikistan pays special attention to enhancing cooperation in “green energy” from renewable sources.
