Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs (FA) and Immigration, visited the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, where he met with some of the leaders of the Egyptian community in the United States on the sidelines of his visit to Washington.
Ambassador Tamim Khilaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, stated that Minister Abdel Aati pointed out during the meeting with representatives of the Egyptian community the priority that the state gives to the affairs of Egyptian citizens residing abroad. He was also keen to review the most prominent determinants of Egyptian foreign policy, its priorities, in addition to its activities to deal with regional challenges and crises, and interact with international issues.
His Excellency was keen to point out the great importance that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attaches to supporting the state’s economic efforts and working to attract investments, support the national economy, and promote development projects. The Minister of Foreign Affairs was also keen to listen to the visions and proposals of the community representatives in this regard, praising the role played by Egyptians abroad in strengthening popular ties between Egypt and the countries in which they reside.
