In the presence of the Colombian Ambassador, Ms. Ana Milena Munoz, and Deputy Ambassador Alejandro Botero, the Egyptian Opera House witnessed the Colombian Embassy’s celebration in Cairo this evening, Wednesday, on the Grand Theater stage entitled “peace across difference.. Let music unite us” with the participation of Colombian soprano Julieth Lozano, and the Egyptian international mezzosoprano Farah Dibani, accompanied by Belarusian pianist Anastasia Shetsko.

The programme included selections and excerpts from the most famous international works by major composers, including the song “Beautiful Night” from Count Hoffmann by Offenbach, “Villi” and “La Bohème” by Puccini, “When I Turn to You and Swear to Me” by Maria Griever, “Carmen” by Bizet, “La Dames de Cadiz” by Delibes, “Farewell to Our Little Table” by Massenet – Manon, “Maria Buenos Aires” by Piazzolla, in addition to a Colombian song by Bermudez. The concert concluded with the song “Helwa ya Baladi” by Dalida.
