Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesman and supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FA) and Immigration explained that Minister Dr. Abdel Aati praised during the call the development of bilateral relations, especially economic relations between Egypt and the Netherlands, and welcomed the trade missions scheduled to visit Egypt during the current year concerned with the agricultural sector and the green hydrogen sector. He also expressed his support for economic partnership and enhancing mutual investment opportunities, welcoming the visits of officials of major Dutch companies to learn about the investment environment and its incentives in Egypt in the fields of agriculture, water management, industry, digitization, infrastructure, financial services and energy.
The official spokesman stated that Minister Abdel-Ati stressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation between companies in the two countries by studying the establishment of a business council in which businessmen from both countries would participate to facilitate communication between the private sector and investors from both countries. Ambassador Khalaf added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed the boom in relations between Egypt and the European Union after upgrading relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership, and also touched on developments in Gaza, stressing the responsibility of the international community to exert pressure on Israel to stop the attacks in Gaza, and reviewed Egyptian efforts to stop regional escalation.
