Minister of foreign affairs and immigration, Badr Abdel Aati, warned of sliding into a regional war unless cease-fire applied by the Israeli army against Hamas.
Mr Badr Abdel Aati said that he discussed with the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell the importance of full and unconditional implementation of humanitarian and medical aid to the Gaza Strip, preventing escalation whether in the West Bank or in Lebanon and the entire region, and preventing it from sliding into a regional war, which requires stopping the aggression on Gaza.
The Foreign Minister stressed in a joint press conference with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, the great importance of implementing the Palestinian state solution and establishing it as soon as possible.
Borrell had met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi yesterday, Monday, and the discussions addressed the course of bilateral relations and many regional files, most notably the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, in addition to a number of other regional files.
