Yesterday, the Korean Cultural Center organized a lecture entitled “Discover Korea’s Distinctive Flavor” as part of the activities of the 44th International Hotel Supplies Exhibition (IHSE), hosted by the Egypt International Exhibition Center with the participation of a large group of food and beverage industry leaders.
The lecture, presented by Korean chef Hong Sung-hee, a nutrition expert, dealt with the secrets of unique flavors in traditional and modern Korean cuisine. She also provided a comprehensive explanation of Korean food culture, its historical development, popular dishes, and contemporary innovations that shape Korean cuisine today. She explained that Korean cuisine is known for its unique flavors, ingredients, and preparation method based on fermentation and innovative cooking methods.
The attendees expressed their appreciation for organizing this lecture, which gave them the opportunity to learn about Korean cuisine and culture. The lecture was organized as a conclusion to the Korean Food Academy 2024, which was attended by 120 participants, including professional chefs and the general public.
Oh Sung-ho, director of the cultural center, praised the participation in Hess Hotel Expo, saying that it will greatly enhance awareness of Korean cuisine in Egypt. He added that the Korean Cultural Center will continue its role in promoting cultural exchange between the peoples of the two countries by organizing various cultural events covering all components of Korean culture.
