SARANG helicopter display team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is in Egypt to participate in the 1st Egyptian International Airshow, to be held from 03-05 September 2024 in El Alamein. The Airshow will witness participation by many other friendly countries.
2. ‘SARANG’ is the brand ambassador of the ‘Indian Air Force’, which combines spectacular performances along with excellent operational record. The team was formed in 2003 and participated internationally for the first time at the Asian Aerospace Show at Singapore in 2004. The team has performed over 1200 displays at more than 385 venues all around the globe.
3. The world famous SARANG team with five Helicopters will be showcasing spectacular displays involving four helicopters during the airshow to be held in El Alamein.
4. The team operates the ‘Dhruv’ Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), designed and conceived by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which is an all-weather, multi-mission capable helicopter. The team flies the ALH MK1 variant which is the pioneer of the ALH family suitably depicting the spirit of ‘Atmanirbharta’ (self-reliance).
