Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, met today, August 25, with major Japanese newspapers and news agencies on the sidelines of his presence in Tokyo to participate in the activities of the TICAD Ministerial Meeting, held in Japan on August 24 and 25.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs was keen to hold meetings with major Japanese media outlets to emphasize the constants of the Egyptian position on all regional and international issues, and the important role played by Egypt in its regional environment and towards important international issues that occupy an advanced place in the priorities of Egyptian foreign policy.
During the media meetings, Dr. Abdel Aati stressed the special and importance of Egyptian-Japanese relations, and the joint keenness of both sides to develop this relationship in line with raising relations to the level of strategic partnership in 2023. Dr. Abdel Aati also expressed Egypt’s aspiration for high-level Japanese participation in the official ceremonies of the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is one of the most important fruits of cooperation between the two friendly countries.
