During the press conference held by Dr. Abdel-Ati today at noon with his French counterpart Stephane Sejourne, minister Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a regional power and its role is pivotal, especially what is happening on the regional and international scene. It participated in the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian based on the assignment of Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Dr. Abdel-Ati added that he met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ali Bagheri and they discussed issues of common interest at the time. There is continuous telephone communication in light of the current events in Gaza to avoid a regional war in which everyone loses.
This came in response to a question from the “Aldy” website in Arabic and English about the future of Egyptian-Iranian relations and the current regional challenges, considering Iran a pivotal power and coordination with it is necessary.
