Ambassador of Turkey Saleh Mutlu Shen: Turkish investments provide gains for our sisterly Egypt

The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Saleh Mutlu Shen, visited the factory of the “Jed Textile” company in the city of Tenth of Ramadan, which is one of the largest Turkish investments in Egypt in the field of clothing and textiles.

During the statements made by Ambassador Shen to Egyptian journalists within the framework of the visit, he explained that the “Jed Textile” company is one of the best and most prominent investment models with Turkish capital, Turkish management and Turkish industry.

Ambassador Shen stated that the “Jed Textile” company provides job opportunities and success opportunities for more than ten thousand Egyptian brothers. It also occupies the lead in the field of exporting ready-made clothes and considers Egypt as a strategic base for its production. He added that the most important thing that distinguishes the “Jed Textile” company is that it gives importance and priority to the worker and the human being, and therefore it provides workers with all social and legal services and capabilities.

Ambassador Shen said that “Jed Textile” is a well-known company that manufactures and produces with high quality and in a stable manner.

Ambassador Shen added that all this gives a very important and comprehensive example of Egypt’s success and the development of infrastructure in Egypt, pointing out that other Turkish investments such as “Jed Textile” on the one hand provide profit to sisterly Egypt and on the other hand introduce Egyptian and Turkish brands to the world.

Ambassador Shen said that providing halal work that brings livelihood and adds success and profit is much more important than doing good or giving charity.

The most important thing that distinguishes Jed Textile is that it provides community service in this context, and this stems from social responsibility. The company gives priority to each worker.

Ambassador Saleh Mutlu Shen, in his statements, referred to the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to Egypt during the period from August 4-5, saying that it was very successful and fruitful. The minister visited Arish and inspected the warehouses allocated for aid provided to Gaza. He also inspected the Arish port and the Egyptian Red Crescent in Arish, explaining that Turkey has made many efforts for our brothers in Palestine and will make more efforts in the coming period in cooperation with Egypt.

Ambassador Shen added that during his visit to El Alamein, Minister Fidan met with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and was received by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

He also visited El Alamein, which he greatly admired, expressing his happiness at the presence of Turkish investments in Egypt.

He also held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati.

The company aims to increase investments in Egypt due to confidence in the efficiency and ability of the Egyptian workforce, which has been able to gain the confidence of the largest brands in the world, such as Nike, by achieving the gold level in commitment to shipping dates for eleven consecutive years, as well as the gold level in product quality.

The group does not stop expanding. In the last five years, it has tripled the workforce, area and production capacity.

During this year 2024, it has achieved 220 million dollars in sales, and 228 thousand square meters were added in 10th of Ramadan, as well as 60 thousand square meters in Burj Al Arab.

It also aims to reach 20 thousand workers and sales estimated at 500 million dollars in Egypt by 2030.
