The G7 Foreign Ministers issued the following statement:
We, the G7 Foreign Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and the High Representative of the European Union, express our deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East that threaten to ignite a wider conflict in the region.
We once again urge all parties concerned to refrain from continuing the current destructive cycle of retaliatory violence, reduce tensions, and engage constructively in de-escalation. No country or people will benefit from further escalation in the Middle East.
