For the second time, the Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan gives his second visit to Egypt, after the historic visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Egypt, within the framework of coordinating all files with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in addition to regional and international issues and the Gaza crisis in particular..

Today, the ministers of the two countries, Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, held a press conference to announce the formation of a strategic cooperation council between Egypt and Turkey, and this is the first in the history of relations between the two countries..
* Enhancing stability!
The Foreign Minister Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati stressed that there is a need To build on the positive path in relations with Turkey, noting that the meetings between the two countries contribute to enhancing stability in the region, and that Egypt and Turkey are ready to coordinate efforts to maintain security and stability in the region.

Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Ati added during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan at Tahrir Palace: “We agreed to intensify work together during the coming period to bring trade exchange between Egypt and Turkey to 15 billion dollars.”
* Peoples’ interests!
Minister Abdel-Ati added, “The visit comes within the framework of strengthening relations, cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries to achieve the interests of their peoples, referring to these visits, most notably the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which contributed to strengthening cooperation and stability in the Middle East.
* Security & stability!
Dr. Abdel-Ati added: “In light of the global polarization and the escalation witnessed by the region, Egypt and Turkey can maintain security and stability in the region and secure a bright future for their peoples,” explaining that the discussions included discussing the date of the first meeting of the Strategic Council headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
* Launching SC!
He said that they discussed issues of common interest and coordination at the level of the two presidents, and there will be extended meetings to discuss ways to strengthen these relations, continuing: “Until the Strategic Council (SC) is launched, there will be multiple meetings between the two countries to ensure the success of the first session of the Council.”
* The first trading partner!
Dr. Abdel-Ati stressed that Egypt is Turkey’s first trading partner in Africa, and that Turkey is considered one of the most important destinations for Egyptian exports abroad. He pointed out that he agreed with Minister Hakan to intensify work to strengthen trade relations and attract Turkish companies to The Egyptian market, and that the discussions also included the catastrophic situation in Gaza, Sudan, Libya, the Red Sea, regional issues, combating terrorism, and cooperation to reduce the intensity of the conflict in the region.
* Ceasefire!
The Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati said that he informed his Turkish counterpart of the latest developments in Egyptian efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He explained that the two ministers stressed the need to avoid an explosion in the West Bank as a result of provocative settlement policies.
“We stressed Egypt’s complete rejection of the Israeli assassination policy and fueling the conflict in the region, and we stressed the need to avoid the situation getting out of control, and we must work as quickly as possible to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and resume aid completely to the Gaza Strip.”, Dr. Abdel Aati added.
Minister Abdel Aati said that he informed the Turkish Foreign Minister of the latest developments in Egyptian efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and there is an Egyptian-Turkish consensus on the situation in Gaza and regional issues.
* Lybian file!
He said that there is agreement on the need to enhance consultations on the Libyan file, as stability and enhancing security play a role in settling existing differences, and we have reached an understanding on preserving Libya’s unity and the need to hold Libyan presidential and parliamentary elections in a way that restores Libya’s stability.
* Syria!
Foreign Minister Abdel-Ati also indicated that he discussed with his Turkish counterpart the crisis in Syria, welcoming the Turkish statements about readiness to work to resolve differences with Syria.
* Sudan!
Mr Abdel Aati explained that the situation in Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon and the Red Sea was discussed, and visions agreed to prevent regional escalation.
* Africa & Renaissance Dam!
Cooperation in the African continent, the Renaissance Dam, the dangerous situation in the Horn of Africa and the Egyptian rejection of any threat to the unity of Somalia were also discussed, and he pointed out the importance of preserving the unity of Somalia.
* President Sisi’s visit!
For his part, the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that his country looks forward to President Sisi’s visit to Turkey as soon as possible.
* Education & culture!
“We will work with Egypt to develop relations with all our capabilities, and we pay great attention to developing cooperation with Egypt in the educational and cultural fields.”, said Mr Hakan Fidan.

Minister Fidan added that the region is witnessing a ring of fire and we attach special importance to consultations with Egypt, adding that the first meeting of the high-level strategic council headed by President Sisi and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was discussed.
* Prosperity!
Mr Fiday said that Erdogan’s visit pushed bilateral relations between the two countries, and expressed his confirmation that relations between the two countries will witness prosperity in all fields during the coming period, stressing that Egypt is a secure partner and an important future partner that Turkey is very interested in developing cooperation with in all fields.
* Ro-Ro!
The Turkish Foreign Minister continued that his country is working to raise the level of trade and economic relations with Egypt to a higher level, pointing to the continuation of work related to the resumption of “Ro-Ro” sea trips between the ports of Mersin and Alexandria within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement.
* Turkey’s support!
Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, which has been witnessing a war by the Israeli occupation forces since October 7, 2024, minister Fidan confirmed that the ceasefire was discussed, stressing Turkey’s support for the Egyptian and Qatari efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement.

Mr Hakan criticized Israel, saying that the assassination of the chief Palestinian negotiator Ismail Haniyeh reflects Netanyahu’s desire to burn the entire region, and that he is not serious about reaching an agreement with the Palestinian side.
* US Congress welcome..?!
Mr minister Fidan said that the US Congress welcomed Netanyahu and gave him a voice, and that parliaments cannot be a platform for war criminals.
