Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration and Director of the Public Diplomacy Department, stated that Minister Abdel Ati expressed the Egyptian side’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Chargé d’Affaires of the UN Mission to Libya in a way that contributes to the success of its mission in a way that serves efforts to reach a solution to the crisis in Libya with ownership and leadership. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration indicated that Egypt will continue its efforts to help the Libyan parties agree and strengthen the path of the Libyan/Libyan solution, and respect state institutions, with the aim of achieving the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, stressing the need for all foreign forces, foreign fighters and mercenaries to leave Libya within a certain period of time. Ambassador Abu Zeid concluded his statements by noting that Mrs. Khoury expressed her intention to closely coordinate and work jointly with Egypt within the framework of the unity of goal concerned with establishing stability in a sustainable manner in all Libyan lands, in light of the main and pivotal Egyptian role in the region aimed at resolving the Libyan crisis in accordance with Relevant international determinants and decisions.
