Under the supervision of Ambassador Mohammad Hossein Soltani Fard, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Egypt, the Iranian Embassy in Cairo opened its doors today, July 5, 2024, at eight in the morning, to the Iranian community in Egypt to conduct the voting process in the second round of the 14th Iranian presidential elections to choose the 14th president from among… Candidates: Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili.
Voting committees were set up at both the Iranian embassy in Cairo and the residence of the Iranian ambassador in Heliopolis.
Ambassador Fard praised the Egyptian government taking all necessary and distinguished measures that reflect the outcome of the tireless efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Iran.
Ambassador Muhammad Hussein thanked and appreciated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the security personnel for their sincere interest in securing the voting process in the two rounds.
According to Article 36 of the Presidential Elections Law, all persons who hold Iranian citizenship and are at least 18 years old can participate in the aforementioned elections by presenting their citizenship or national card.
Iranian nationals residing abroad, who do not have the above-mentioned identity documents, can vote by presenting their valid passports to elect their candidate.
