No doubt that the selection of Ambassador Saleh Eid Al-Hussaini as Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Egypt confirms that the man has remarkable skills that mean continuing more diplomatic efforts, to implement the directives of the wise leadership, to consolidate historical relations with Cairo, and to take it to the furthest point of cooperation, partnership and alliance in the fields. All, taking into account the antiquity of these relations, and their strategic importance in promoting stability and tranquility in the Middle East and the Islamic world.

Because Ambassador Al-Husseini is armed with a lot of practical and professional experience, in addition to his relationships with influential Arab and international figures, which helps him perform his work tasks to the fullest extent, taking into account that these tasks may face many challenges, especially with what the region is witnessing. Polarization of forces, military conflict, and external interference, which requires him to deal with great wisdom and deliberation with many hot issues, in cooperation with officials in Cairo.

Saleh Al-Hussaini grew up; In the city of Hail, in the middle of a close-knit family between the generations of grandparents, parents, and grandchildren, in an environment that maintains social relationships and places them among its priorities, and early in his childhood, Al-Hussaini acquired the qualities of boldness and confrontation, and navigating learning, through his participation in the school radio, When he grew up a little, he had his own council in the family home, where he hosted people of knowledge, culture, and literature on a regular basis, for discussion and dialogue, unlike his father’s council and his brother’s council.

The biography of Ambassador Al-Hussaini is full of: He held many local and international stations and positions, which he held with merit, and in which he demonstrated exceptional competence. This made him a statesman who could be relied upon to carry out many difficult tasks and process important files.

Al-Hussaini’s experiences tend to… To economics and management, he chose to delve deeper into this path, by sending a scholarship to the United States of America, and obtaining a master’s degree in the same field, from the American University in Washington in 1986 AD.

Al-Hussaini preferred; Seeking scholarships for promotion in a government position within the Kingdom, out of the belief that acquiring knowledge increases experience and fulfills aspirations.

After the scholarship trip, Al-Hussaini received; High-ranking positions in a number of local and international institutions. He was chosen as the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the World Trade Organization in Geneva in 2017, and remained there for about three years, before becoming the Kingdom’s ambassador to India since June 2022, and Chairman of the Council of Arab Ambassadors to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. In addition to his position as a member of the Saudi Shura Council, he chaired the Economic and Energy Affairs Committee for several sessions, before moving to the Economic Committee in the Council.

Al-Hussaini left; The Shura Council after he left his mark on it, which is recorded in the history of the council, when he contributed to the establishment of the Saudi Investment Authority and the foreign investment system, and the mark was repeated in another position, when he was Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, as he contributed to the establishment of the Industrial Cities Authority.

In addition to his previous positions, he was “Al-Hussaini”; Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Industrial Investment Group, the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Petromin Company, the National Chemical Fertilizer Company, the Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (Cargo), and the Al-Ittihad Cooperative Insurance Company.

Prior to his appointment as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Egypt, Al-Husseini served as a commercial and economic advisor in the Office of Missions and Initiatives Affairs at the Royal Court, in addition to his membership in the Advisory Body of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

He worked on the staff of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, USA, from 1991 to 1996.

He worked in the Saudi Ministry of Finance from 1980-1997.

During his career, Ambassador Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini assumed a number of key tasks, including:

Member of the negotiating team for the Kingdom’s accession to the World Trade Organization.

Member of the Saudi negotiating team for the Gas Initiative and the main negotiator for electricity and petrochemical projects within the framework of the Gas Initiative.

Head of the team preparing a project to amend the foreign capital system, and preparing the organization for establishing the General Investment Authority as part of economic reform projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He held many positions on boards of directors and committees in the industrial sector, including:

Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

Member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.

Member of the Board of Directors of Barumin.

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Industrial Cities and Technology Zones Authority.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Industrial Investment Group Company.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Chemical Fertilizers Company, Ibn Al-Bitar.

Member of the Council of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting, and Chairman of one of the Council’s sessions.

He held many memberships and positions in the economic sector, including:

Member of the Board of Directors of the General Investment Authority.

Member of the Privatization Committee of the Supreme Economic Council.

Member of the Preparatory Committee for the Supreme Council of Petroleum and Minerals.

Member of the Preparatory Committee for the Manpower Council.

Member of the Pricing and Gas Supply Committee.

Member of Board of Directors of the Communications and Information Technology Commission.

Member of the Board of Directors of Saudi Airlines Cargo Company Limited.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Hollandi Financial Company.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Union Insurance Company.

Member of the examination committee for the Islamic Solidarity Award for Promoting Trade among Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in the year 1430 AH.

The veteran served as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of India, starting from the twenty-first of June 2022.

He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Oula Investment Company.

He also served as the Kingdom’s permanent representative in the World Trade Organization.

While he also served as Chairman of the Economic Affairs and Energy Committee in the Saudi Shura Council.

While he served as a member of the Finance Committee in the same council.

He was fortunate enough to hold the position of Undersecretary for Industrial Affairs at the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

While he worked as Deputy Director General of Industrial Development at the Saudi House for Consulting Services.

He also served as an active member of the International Monetary Fund and the Saudi Ministry of Finance and National Economy.

While he was a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Council.
