Launching the 2nd session of the Red Sea Film Festival for Documentary Films

The activities of the second session of the Red Sea Documentary Film Days kicked off yesterday under the slogan “Discover the power of true stories and expand your horizons,” which is organized by the Red Sea International Film Festival, during which a wide range of international and Saudi documentary works are shown at “Cinema Hayy,” the first independent cinema, audio-visual center in Kingdom in Jeddah.
The festival presents six prominent documentaries from various countries of the world, covering various topics: personal biography, sports, the search for identity, discovering places of the past, and others. This partnership also hosts a dialogue session with Oscar-nominated Tunisian director Kawthar Ben Haniyeh, and various dialogue sessions with a number of… From the directors.
The second edition of the Red Sea Documentary Film Days includes the “Maflam” workshop, which provides different cinematic visions presented by industry experts, accompanied by a series of screenings of Saudi short films that are shown, including: “Love Letter,” “Buried Gold,” “The Red Diaries,” and “Cats.” “Dreaming in a strange place.”
It is noteworthy that some of the films presented were partially supported by the Red Sea Fund of the Red Sea Film Foundation, and these documentaries are guided by a unique directorial vision to present narratives about family relationships, political figures, and music.
