Honoring television works and artists nominated for the “Dana Drama Award” during the opening of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival in its (16th) session.

The organizing committee of the Al Dana Drama Award announced the list of television works and artists nominated for the award, the winners of which will be celebrated during the opening of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival (GRTF) in its (16th) session, which is held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority. It will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the end of this May, organized by the Ministry of Information in cooperation with Gulf Radio and Television.

The organizing committee indicated that the competition for the award in each of the ten categories includes 3 nominated names, selected from more than 70 diverse television series that the award has received since the nominations opened.

The organizing committee said, “The jury, which consists of a number of senior critics and specialists in the artistic field from the Gulf and Arab countries, will compare these names according to the approved award criteria, and the winners will be announced and the awards will be handed over at the opening ceremony of the festival.”

The organizing committee indicated that the series nominated for the (Best Arabic Series) award are the series (Al-Zind) from Syria, the series (The Assassins), and the series (Under Guardianship) from Egypt, while the Emirati series (Al-Bowm) is competing for the award (Best Social Series). ), the series (Threads of Mazaib), and the series (Al-Sharaar) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As for the award (Best Comedy Series), the series (Sikka Safar 3), the series (Sondus 2), and the series (Cloud Kitchen) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are competing for it.

She pointed out that the award (Best Actor) is being competed by: the artist Turki Al-Youssef for his role in the series (After You Are Absent from Me), the artist Abdul Mohsen Al-Nimr for his role in the series (Threads of Moazib), and the artist Khaled Saqr for his role in the series (Al-Naseem High School). The (Best Actress) award is competed for by the artist Shajoun Al-Hajri for her role in the series (Washing), the artist Haifa Hussein for her role in the series (Al-Juzo’), and the artist Heba Al-Hussein for her role in the series (Cloud Kitchen).

The organizing committee added that the award for the best (rising face – young actor) is competed for by Ahmed Al-Najjar for his role in the series (I love you so much), the artist Mohamed Abdel Khaleq for his role in the series (Threads of Moazib), and the artist Nayef Al-Bahr for his role in the series (Al-Naseem High School). As for the award (Best Rookie – Young Actress), the artist Dana Al-Salem is competing for it for her role in the series (Threads of Mazaib), the artist Reem Suleiman for her role in the series (Beit Al-Qasid), and the artist Reem Hamdan for her role in the series ( silk collar).

The organizing committee indicated that the award for (Best Dramatic Script) is competed for by Imad al-Din Hakim for the series (Al-Boom), Lamia Al-Zayadi for the series (Al-Sharaar), and Hana Abdullah Al-Omair, supervisor of the writing workshop for the series (Threads of Mazaib). As for the award for (Best Director) Competing for it are Al-Fawz Tanjour for the series (Al-Sharaar), Abdulaziz Al-Shalahi and Manaf Abdal for the series (Threads of Mazaib), and Asaad Al-Waslati for the series (Al-Boom).

She explained that the award for (Best Soundtrack) is competed by the artist Mohamed Nassef for the series (Al Naseem High School), the artist Salim Arjoun for the series (Al Boom), and the artist Amin Bouhafa for the series (Al Sharar).

She expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to all Gulf and Arab artistic production institutions and all the artists who were keen to participate in the (Dana Drama Award) in its first edition, which represents a great success for the award and an incentive for those in charge of it to develop it and enhances its goals in advancing the artistic and dramatic movement in the region.
