In this context, the Russian community in Egypt, through the Coordinating Council of Russian Associations, headed by Lyudmila Salama, is organizing a sports day for Russian families at the Cairo Sports Club on Saturday, May 18, at 11 a.m. until 3 pm. The program includes a variety of sports games and races in an entertainment context. Hockey, volleyball, kayaking, rowing, water polo racing, and water tractor racing are also held.
For her part, Lyudmila Salama, Head of the Coordinating Council for Russian Expatriates, stated that the Sports Day is dedicated to Russian families residing in Egypt and Egyptian friends, in celebration of the Year of the Family in Russia and the International Family Day. Salama invited everyone to participate in the Sports Day.
The Russian Sports Day comes after the agreement reached between Murad Gatin, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, and Captain Mohsen Farouk, Executive Director of the Cairo Sports Club, in the presence of Sherif Gad, Director of Cultural Activities at the Russian Cultural Center.
